We were honoured to host as our guest, Erik Avetisov from Rotary Club Kharkiv International Ukraine in yesterday’s meeting in the Grand Hotel in Sopot.
Kharkiv is at the very moment bearing the brunt of Russian attacks, including civilian targets in the city, and he spoke very movingly of having to shelter
with his young family while listening to bombs falling over their heads.
We discovered a lot of interesting and useful things about what is happening on the front line in Ukraine and his words have motivated us to continue our
efforts to raise even more money and give more aid to alleviate the tragic crisis across the border in Ukraine and also here in Poland for families fleeing this terror.
