This year’s Governor’s visit at our club was an unusual one, as the current situation due to Covid-19 outbreak is not normal. RC Sopot International meetings are taking place online for many weeks already, so was the last one, when we had the opportunity to host Governor of District 2231 Małgorzata Wojtas. Although we couldn’t shake hands with our honorable guest, the atmosphere was heartfelt and the discussion about the current situation of Rotary in Poland, as well as plans for the future, charitable projects of ours and other clubs in Poland wich are accomplished and these on the way to be executed, was very lively.
An old Polish proverb says: “guest at home, god at home”. Unfortunately this time we couldn’t host our guest as we’d wish, nevertheless we could feel the closeness of people connected by a common ideas.
