Anna Zielinska-Glebock
RC Sopot International featured a distinguished guest at our last meeting. Professor of Economics Anna Zielinska-Glebock provided club members with an interesting overview of macroeconomics in the EU. The presentation focused on recent statistics for growth rates, inflation, average per-capita incomes, and predictive trends. Issues such as Brexit, debt-to-GDP numbers in the Eurozone, the current and projected economic slow-down, and prospects for the expansion of the euro currency were discussed and questions on these and other topics entertained. Dr. Zielinska-Glebock also make an informative comparison between the economic and monetary policies and institutions of the EU and the USA. It was a most informative evening.
