On behalf of all members of the Sopot International Rotary Club, I would like to express my sincere thanks for the support of our 16th Rotary Charity Ball.
This year’s ball was a great social and financial success. Thanks to you – our generous guests and sponsors, we obtained from a lottery 7025 PLN, and in transfers from sponsors 17500 PLN. In total, we managed to collect PLN 41055.
Thanks to your help, we will be able to continue financing the existing and new charity projects, such as:
• Financial assistance in the amount of PLN 25,000 for the purchase of medical equipment for the “Hospice Pomorze Dzieciom” Foundation, which cares for home-based children’s hospices in the Pomorskie Voivodeship;
• Funding of PLN 5000 for children indicated by the Municipal Social Welfare Center in Sopot, for their participation in English language summer camp organized by the Project Management Institute;
• Financial support of renovation and for purchase of equipment for school in Zamensk in the Kaliningrad Region in Russia, with the sum of 1,500 euros. The project is being run by our partner club RC Kaliningrad. The funds were passed to the President of RC Kaliningrad Mrs. Leontjeva during the ball;
• Transfer of the equivalent of USD 200 for Anthony Korsu from Sierra Leone to cover cost of a driving license course. The work as a driver will allow him to get out of extreme poverty;
• Financial support for the organization of a study visit of young volunteers from around the world by Rotaract in Gdańsk, in the amount of PLN 1,000;
• Co-financing in the amount of PLN 1500 for the summer camp in Poland for children from the war zone in Ukraine, organized by the Rotary Club of Zamość.
