“Two members of the RC Sopot InternationalElisabeth Utsch and Monika Kobylińska are also members of Inter Country Committee Poland – Germany, operating in the 2231 District.
ICC has it’s counterpart in Germany, currently presided over by Michael Kunat. The polish section is headed by Eugeniusz Gorczyca.

As Mr Gorczyca’s term was ending, on January 12th the Committe elected Monika Kobylińska to preside over it for the next three years.

The year 2019 will mark the 25th anniversary for the ICC Poland – Germany, and to celebrate that, a meeting of members of the two sections and their supporters will take place in Gdańsk. The city was chosen as the venue due to it being a symbol, which played an important part in both countries history.

The mission of both sections of the Inter-Country Committee is to connect people in  facilitating the creation, development and progress of an effective  and sustainable international network of bilateral relations and activities to catch all opportunities in a tuned effort to promote a  climate for maintaining peace and improving understanding.

The ICC has undertaken many important initaitives, most notable of which was looking to create partnerships between clubs based on interpersonal relationships of their members. Also, ICC supports (personally and financially) projects proposed by the clubs, that aim to fulfill the mission of ICC.

One of those projects is the support for revitalising and cultivating of Polish-German Gardens in Skaryszewski Park in Warsaw, which is dedicated to the friendship between the two countries.

Another project os the support for RC Giżycko in organising a youth sailing camp, which involves participants from Poland and Germany, ages 18-21.

RC Sopot International took active part in the organisation of the sailing camp by financing the participation of one young person, usually unable to take part on their own due to their financial situation.”

Best regards,
Monika Kobylińska
